A delightful spacious stone cottage with private pool, beautiful quiet countryside with miles of bridle paths in the Périgord/Limousin National Park (Périgord Vert). Peaceful but not isolated, excellent for bird-watching, rambling/walking. Walking distance to a recreational lake with beach. Within easy reach of many historic sites and grottos.

LA PETITE MAISON - A charming stone cottage, tiled ground floor- fully fitted kitchen with dining area, fully equiped for 6, two steps down to very spacious comfortable lounge with a wood burning stove, TV with freeview, 1x3;2x2 seater sofas and stairs leading to a large double bedroom, carpeted & with wardrobes & bedside table, with en-suite shower & toilet.

Stairs from the dining area lead into a large twin room with wardrobe & bedside tables and sofa, then up to a furnished double bedroom and to the bathroom with bath + shower and toilet.
French doors from the dining area open onto the private courtyard with outdoor bench table with parasol.

LA PETITE MAISON has a private entrance with parking, courtyard with BBQ and furnished outdoor dining area. Garden leading to private pool (7x4mts)with cushioned sunloungers. Fully fenced.

Sleeps 2-6 people. Cot & child gate available.

Long weekend or mid-week bookings can be arranged.

Facilities include washing machine, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, microwave, satellite TV(freeview), video, hair dryer, video and book library, lawn games.

Bath & hand towels and bed-linen are provided.
A welcome pack of bread, butter, preserve, milk, tea, coffee, sugar, bottled water, beer and wine is provided.
Other items can be pre-ordered at extra cost.
A welcome meal can be arranged.

Pets are welcome. La Petite Maison is fully fenced and the paddock of an acre is also fully fenced.

On site - Boules court, badminton, volleyball, football areas & bicycles. Archery is also available - on site we have 2 field and one animal target, recurve bows & arrows. The local archery club is a short distance away and has 14 field targets set in the forest, 5€ per person plus cost of arrows lost/broken;

Lapouge is 1km from the village of St Estèphe, there is a bakery, post office and mini-market, bars & café. Le Grand Etang (Lake) at St Estèphe has a beach with a moored diving platform, bar & cafés, restaurant, children/toddler fenced playgrounds, tennis court, picnic areas & walks. In high season -July & August-there is a lifeguard & free canoes & kayaks.

Excellent Auberge 1.5km and 8 kms.

Piégut - 4km - has more services and an extensive Wednesday morning market.

Local fishing can be arranged, tennis and horse riding are available 1km.

Ancient sites, châteaux and caves.

Nontron -9km - famous for knife making, has all main facilities, a good Saturday morning market and a varied program of events throughout the season.

Teyjat - 9km - has a kart and quad track.

St Sornin vineyard & winery for tasting/buying 25mins.

Brantôme, Thiviers, Bourdeilles, all within 30mins drive, offer many historical and recreational interests, regular markets and summer farmers markets. Canoeing at Brantome and Bourdeilles, rock climbing.
Many of the surrounding villages have festivals and vide grenier during the summer.
Acrobois - forest activity courses for all levels -40mins.

Limoges airport 1hr 15mins.
Bergerac airport 1hr 40mins.

Angoulême and Périgueux approx 50kms with modern boutiques , hypermarkets & old city centers to explore. Cognac 80kms.
