Two delightful gites sleeping up to 8 and 4 set in two acres of secluded fenced grounds each with its own heated above ground pool and garden area.Wi-Fi Internet Access available.
Situated mid-way between N10 Couhe and Civray in a small hamlet of La Tourenne surrounded by open countryside, which in the summer is full of sunflowers and sweetcorn. The area is very flat, which is ideal for walking and cycling, and within easy walking distance of the picturesque village of Blanzay which offers all local amenities, Post Office,Bakers, Grocery shop, Bar/Restaurant, Telephone, Tennis Court and Norman Church. Just five minutes drive is Civray the picturesque market town with open air swimming pool, restaurant, bars, and supermarkets and twice weekly market. Poitiers is just under an hours drive away, with its attractive squares, narrow alleyways and cobbled streets. It is also home to Futuroscope, the futuristic 3D cinema and evening laser show.
Cognac can also be reached in under an hour. There are many shops and cafes to be found here, and of course the famous distilliers of Remy Martin and Martell. At approximately eight km is La Vallee des Singes the monkey sanctuary, where all the monkeys live wild in natural wooded islets and there is not a cage or barrier to be seen.
Further afield is the Atlantic coast with the charming, historic port of La Rochelle and the Ile de Re.

Le Goose Cottage (sleeps up to 3)
Each gite is completely separate and situated around a courtyard with the owners own home.Each gite has its own garden dining area with brick barbeque. Set in two acres of secluded fenced grounds with large lawn. Each gite has its own above ground swimming pool (7m x 3m) and (6m x 4m) with sun loungers, patio table and parasol and garden swing. There is plenty of grassed lawn area to sit in or for ball games i.e. cricket, badminton etc. For the more adventurous we do have a selection of bikes for you to use free of charge.Floodlit Table Tennis,Table Top Football,darts and boules court. For the younger guests we have a brick playhouse.

This traditional French Stone Cottage with its own 7m x 3m heated above ground swimming pool.
Ground floor LOUNGE with Charentise fireplace and wood burning stove, original oak beams,tiled floor ideal for keeping it cool on hot summer days. Three two seater settee, easy chairs, coffee table and lamp. English Television, DVD player and radio/CD. KITCHEN
Fully fitted with gas cooker, fridge/ freezer, microwave, plus a large selection of kitchen utensils.
DINING ROOM with pine wooden floor and original oak beamed ceiling.Dining table and chairs, highchair,two seater settee, two bookcases one with a large selection of DVD's and games, and the other with a good selection of books, and large information pack on places to visit. There are French doors leading to the outside patio and eating area, with your own brick barbeque.
BATHROOM
Family size bathroom with walk in shower cubicle, washbasin, washing machine, and separate toilet.
FIRST FLOOR
Landing leading to two large family bedrooms (one en-suite) with exposed oak beams and original stone walls. Each with one double bed and 2 single beds, both bedrooms have clothes rails and drawers. A cot is available if required.
All bed linen, towels, tea towels are provided.

LE GOOSE COTTAGE (SLEEPS 2/4)
with its own 6m x 4m heated above ground swimming pool. Kitchen/living room with flagged floor, original stone walls and oak beams. The kitchen area is fully equipped with all modern appliances, Gas cooker, microwave, fridge and a large selection of kitchen utensils. The living room has dining/seating area with sofa bed, coffee table,English Television, Video player and CD player.With a selection of Videos and CDs. There is also a selection of indoor games and books.
The open plan staircase leads to a small mezzanine landing which leads on to a large family bedroom, which has two double French beds, wardrobe and drawers.A cot is available if required. The bedroom has stone walls and lots of original oak beams.
The bathroom consists of a walk in shower, washbasin and WC. All the walls are fully tiled. All linen, bath towels, tea towels, gas,water and electricity, are included in the price.
