THE AREA:-
You are in the heart of Wildboar country. For lovers of wildlife, Deer, Wildboar, a variety of Owls, Falcons, Kites, Frogs and Toads and small Mammals makes the driving interesting particularly at night. The area is richly endowed with Oak forests, stunning gorges along the Cele and Lot Rivers where you’ll find canoeing and bathing opportunities, campsite pools & bars, timeless villages & beauty spots. Country restaurants are great value serving renowned cuisine & local wines, liqueurs & plum brandy, some with live music until 2am. For party goers 3 day village fetes take some beating. Horse riding is also popular here.
Both properties represent year round residence for the two English owners and have been restored to a high standard in a manner to re-create the atmosphere and legacy of times past. An unusual attention has been paid to the contents and decor and materials used. Both for the pleasure of the owners and to attract a buyer who will appreciate the good taste in which it has been carried out. Likewise the garden and field have been through 3 years of invested time and care to achieve it's present mature state. It is an opportunity to sample real life in "France Profond!" in a higher than average standard of comfort. We can genuinely offer good advice about all aspects of local life and there is much to appreciate in particular the wide range of foods available. Three vans visit the village: butcher, baker, grocer but we would be happy to provide a list of our favourites which can be obtained locally.
