***MID AND LOW SEASON SPECIAL RATES until June 2010 2nd week HALF PRICE***The picturesque Moulin de Sansonneche is a renovated wool mill set on the banks of the river Gioune. The mill is reached by crossing a lovely stone bridge. An enchanting fairytale setting pefect for an idyllic holiday in the heart of the beautiful Limousin region of France. The two 3 bedroom gites offer immaculate 'home from home' accommodation prettily and lovingly furnished and decorated throughout. The delightful gardens and wooded grounds,heated swimming pool and river ensure tranquillity and relaxation. A small piece of paradise in which to restore and revive a tired mind and body. The nearby market town of Felletin has a pretty square, bars and cafes and the towns of Aubusson and Gueret and the cities of Limoges an Clermont Ferrand are all within easy reach for days out shopping or sightseeing. The spectacular Lac de Vassiviere with its sandy beaches and watersports is also only a short drive away.

The two gites sleep up to 6 people and have recently been tastefully decorated and refurbished to a high standard. Downstairs there is a spacious comfortable lounge/diner with open fire, satellite TV and fully equipped kitchen area, upstairs three beautiful bedrooms and shower room/WC.

The gardens lead down to the river and are ideal for lazing in a hammock under the trees away from the midday sun with a good book and a bottle of wine. For the more energetic there are plenty of walks through the woods or along the banks of the river and afterwards cool down in the swimming pool.

A number of picnic tables are dotted around the garden and by the banks of the river. Sun loungers and chairs are all there for everyone to enjoy.
The swimming pool is a figure 8 shape and approximately 9 x 5 metres in size and heated using an energy efficient heat-pump to a target temperature of 28°C. It is above ground and of wooden construction, in keeping with its surroundings. The pool can be used daily during late spring and summer and also has a decked terrace area for sunbathing.
At the lower end of the garden, the river forms a shallow, wide, slow flowing pool which offers a safe and exciting environment for older children (and of course, adults!).

For al fresco cuisine, there are two stone-built barbecues - barbecue utensils are provided in each gite.
