House hunting or a tranquil economic break set in part of an old farmhouse, high above Chalus in the Limousin, is this "ancient ferme", three kilometres along the D15 (the holiday route to southern France and Spain), and very easy to find. Chalus castle is famous as the place where Richard the Lionheart received the arrow which caused his death. Many of the routes taken to the crusades can be followed and the area is peppered with castles.
The "grainstore" gite (picture 2+3) has a large double bedded room with sitting area (satellite UKTV), a kitchen and shower room. Outside is a terrace where you can relax and enjoy the evening sun. Gardens and field extend to some 6 acres (picture 4), and you are welcome to explore.

The porcelain of Limoges is world famous and many of the surrounding towns support this work. A beach is just 5 minutes away, as are shops and a supermarket. So much to do and see if that is what you seek, although many of our visitors enjoy just the peace and quiet.

Weekend breaks and LONG TERM lets available. Easter July/August and Christmas/New Year £175 per week.
