This recently renovated farm workers cottage with swimming pool has south facing views over the Charentes countryside, two large bedrooms, both en-suite with shower, WC and wash basin.

The second bedroom can be equipped with a double bed making the cottage suitable for two couples or two single beds for family accommodation.

The cottage has been renovated to a high standard and maintains all the charm of property in the area. Both large bedrooms still have the original old oak beams exposed that add to their character.

Each bedroom has its own private en-suite bathroom.

The bedrooms are both south facing and catch all the sunshine on offer in this the second sunniest region of France. The views are over arable farm land where sunflowers and grapes are important crops.

The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you would expect including a dish washer.

The lounge still has its working Charentais fireplace with wood burning stove making it cosy for out of season holidays. It is equipped with satellite TV, DVD player, and a CD player.

A wi-fi Internet broadband connection is also available.

The cottage has its own private patio area, with outside table and chairs, a sun shade and a BBQ.

This cottage shares a 10 metre [33ft] by 5 metre [16ft] heated, chlorine free swimming pool with our other small gites. The pool has a constant depth of 1.2 metres [4ft] and is fully enclosed by a wall for privacy and conforms to the very high French safety standards for pools.

The pool is surrounded by a very large patio area where ample sun loungers and parasols are provided. and has a stunning view over the local countryside.

We have a games room on site which faces away from the cottages {see picture right} and has a magnificent uninterrupted views over the countryside. To take advantage of the landscape there is also a large terrace area there and a large BBQ. The games room has table football, dart board, swing ball, boules and a badminton set.

4 adult bicycles are available to borrow.

Parking for your car or motorbike is undercover .
