La Sicaudrie is situated in sunny southwest France, nestling in glorious countryside 'twixt the Charente and Dordogne.
Our award winning ancient former Charentaise farmhouses and barns were built from local fossil bearing chalkstone.
Our four gites have been lovingly restored and modernised yet retain all their original French character with exposed oak beams etc. They provide delightful holiday gites next to the resident owner's home.
Situated in the midst of glorious countryside we are within easy reach of the local towns and facilities by car, bicycle or on foot. The market town of Chalais is 6km distant and has a lively Monday morning market.
Close by are several riverside leisure parks with sandy beaches, tennis courts, fishing, canoeing, children's play parks and restaurants etc.
Ideally located only 45 minutes from the new Angouleme-Cognac International Airport opening in spring 2008.
Bed and breakfast is also available as are short term winter lets.
Your host is a licenced estate agent and can assist in helping you find a property in the region or simply give advice.
Delage
Consists of 2 double bedrooms on the ground floor. A fully fitted kitchen/diner
Delahaye
A much larger gite than Delage, Delahaye has all it's accommodation on the ground floor. Sleeps up to 6.
Rosengart
Newly restored to a very high standard. This gite has 2 large family rooms and 1 twin. Private garden overlooking courtyard. Sleeps up to 8.
Talbot
Also newly restored. 2 large family rooms with double beds and single/bunk beds if required,1 twin and 1 ground floor bedroom. Sleeps up to 9/10
