The stunning countryside views and peaceful setting, make this gite a lovely holiday retreat or an ideal base for either house hunting or visiting the local attractions. It has it's own garden and outside space, with plenty of room for parking.

The Accomodation

The bedroom has air conditioning and gas central heating. There is a double bed and bunk beds with room for a cot if required(can provide). The accomodation would suit a couple or a family, rather than two couples. A washing machine can also be made available.

Also on site is an above ground swimming pool,(24ft x 12ft) pool table, dart board, cross trainer, and lots of open space for football or racket ball. A children's paddling pool will also be made available.

Situation/Things to do.

The gite is situated in a quiet spot approximately midway between the historic town of Parthenay and Secondigny. La Rochelle is about 1.5 hours away, great for a day out to the beach. The attraction Futurescope is only 1 hour away, and there are several Chateaux within 30 minutes to 1 hour travelling distance. If you play golf there is a lovely golf course at Mazieres a 15 minutes drive away, and also an equestrian centre about 15 minutes away. If you want a fishing holiday the location is ideal. There are several 'Pescalis'(fishing lakes) and plan d'eaus, (country parks), where you can fish, walk, picnic, or play on the swings. During the summer months there is a Go Cart track, and a 'Go Ape' adventure forest 20 minutes drive away. Another nice day out if you have small children is the Parc au Valley, near Thouars.

These are just a few of the various attractions and reasons for booking a stay here. The gite is small but perfectly formed, and ideal to be used as a base to explore the surrounding countryside.

Locally

There is a new swimming pool in Parthenay with slides etc. and open air municipal pools at Secondigny and St Aubin Le Cloud, both lovely.

Prices

These are usually per week, and a 20% deposit is requested at the time of booking with the balance being due 6 weeks prior to the holiday. If you are looking for a longer let, this would be considered in the 'out of season' months, and a 10% reduction would apply for bookings of more than 1 month. Applies to October, November, December (excluding Christmas and New Year)January, February and March.
A security deposit of 200 euros is payable locally.
