At Faysselle, we have three lovely holiday gites with 2, 3 or 3 bedrooms, sleping 2-16. Set in 12 acres idyllic countryside in Lot et Garonne, South West France, this is a peaceful setting with no passing traffic. It is only four kilometres from the historic village of St Maurin with its shop, bar and restaurant, and its wonderful summer night markets.

Golf, tennis, water sports, fishing and horse-riding are within easy reach, and there are a number of 'leisure lakes' with 'beaches' closeby for the children. The Parc Walibi theme park in Agen is a fun day out for all the family, and there are many beautiful bastide villages to explore. We are close to the vineyards of Buzet, Duras and Cahors and a longer trip would take you to the lovely cities Toulouse or Bordeaux.

The area is well known for its wonderful fresh produce and wine. Foie gras, magret and confit of duck, Agen prunes, melons and a great variety of fruit are amongst the best known produce. Restaurants vary from a 8 euro lunch with good regional cooking to the Michelin-starred Trama restaurant in nearby Puymirol. In addition, a number of local villages host 'night markets' during July and August where you can buy your meal from a choice of local producers and enjoy it in the picturesque setting of a village square, to the accompniament of music and dancing.

Levant sleeps 4 in one double bedroom and one twin. Downstairs is an open plan living dining area with comfy sofas, satellite tv/dvd/video and an insert wood burning fire for winter lets. A door leads out to the terrace with barbecue. The well equipped oak kitchen has a dishwasher, washing machine, oven and hob, microwave and large fridge/freezer.

Couchant sleeps 6 in one double and two twin rooms. It is an upside down gite, with two downstairs bedrooms which stay beautifully cool during our hot summers. The third bedroom is tucked away up a separate staircase and is much loved by children who feel they have their own 'den' (yet still within earshot of parents!). A bath/shower/wc and shower/wc are also downstairs. Upstairs is a light and airy living room with comfy sofas and tv/dvd. This leads out onto the private terrace with barbecue. The kitchen area is also upstairs and has a dishwasher, washing machine, oven and hob, microwave and large fridge/freezer.

Grand Soleil is adjacent to the pool and is thus ideal for families wishing to keep an eye on their children in the pool. Downstairs is a spacious, well-equipped kitchen (new in 2009)with dishwasher, large fridge/freezer, cooker, microwave and washing machine. The living/dining room has sofas and armchairs for all guests, satellite tv, dvd, dining table and chairs, and a selection of indoor games. A door leads to the terrace with barbecue. There is also a shower/wc downstairs. Upstairs there are three bedrooms. The pretty double has a view towards an 11th century church and the two twins rooms overlook the pool. There is also a bath/shower/wc.


The main attraction of Faysselle is the 10.5m x 5.5m pool, and the mini-pool, ideal for toddlers, with a waterfall overspilling into the main pool. There is plenty of sunbathing area, and sun loungers and parasols for all guests.

There is a small snooker table under the covered area near the pool, along with darts, boules, children's toys, swingball and swings.

Changeover day is Saturday during July/August, but outside these dates we try to be flexible where possible.
