Beautiful quiet countryside with miles of bridle paths in the Périgord/Limosin National Park (Périgord Vert). Excellent for bird-watching, rambling/walking. Within easy reach of many historic sites and grottos.

LA GRANGE -a lovely, spacious, detached converted barn with all modern facilities. Ground floor - fully tiled - consists of an entrance hall with separate toilet. Fully fitted kitchen with farmhouse table to seat 10, large comfortable lounge (2 sofas, 4 armchairs)with a wood burning stove, video and book library (children's and grown-up's!)and french doors onto the patio.

First floor -an open galleried landing, two large double bedrooms, three twin rooms - all fully furnished, a french bathroom with toilet, separate shower room and a furnished veranda overlooking lakes and woodlands for sipping your evening beverages!

LA GRANGE has a private driveway and parking area. Patio with wooden bench & parasol, courtyard with BBQ and furnished outdoor dining area. Private pool (10x5m), cushioned sunloungers, garden area. Sleeps 6-10people. Cot & child gate available.

Facilities include washing machine, dishwasher, micro-wave, fridge, freezer, TV, video, hair dryer.

Bath & hand towels and bed linen are provided.
A welcome pack of bread,butter, preserve, milk, tea, coffee, sugar, bottled water, beer and wine is provided.
Other items can be pre-ordered at extra cost.
A welcome meal can be arranged.

Pets are welcome. Fully fenced.

On site we have a boules court, lawn games, badminton and volleyball, football areas, bicycles. Archery onsite - we have 2 field and 1 animal target, recurve bows. The local club has 14 field targets in the forest, cost 5 € per person plus cost of lost/broken arrows.

Lapouge is 1km from the village of St Estèphe where there is a bakery, mini-market,café & post office, cafés. Le Grand Etang (Lake) at St Estèphe has a beach with diving platform moored offshore. In high season there is a lifeguard and free canoes & kayaks. Tennis court, summer cafés with bars, restaurant, fenced children & toddlers play/activity ares, boardwalk & picnic areas, woodland walks.

Excellent Auberge 1.5km & 8kms.

Piégut - 4kms - has more facilities and an extensive Wednesday morning market.

Local horse-riding, tennis and fishing are available.Carp fishing can be arranged. Ancient sites, châteaux and caves.

Nontron - 9kms - famous for knife making, has all main facilities and a good Saturday morning market plus a varied program of events throughout the season.

Teyjat - 9kms - has a kart and quad track.

St Sornin vineyard/winery 20mins taste & buy!!

Brantôme, Thiviers, Bourdielles, all within 30mins drive, offer many historical and recreational interests, regular markets and summer farmers markets. Canoeing & climbing at Brantôme and Bourdeilles.
Acrobois - forest activities only 40 mins.

Limoges airport 1hr 15mins.
Bergerac airport 1hr 30mins.

Angoulème and Périgueux approx 50kms,both with historic city centres and modern boutiques, shops, hypermarkets.
Cognac 80kms.

This is a fabulous area to visit!
