Gite dans le jardin is a small enterprise offering holiday rentals, in the Lot et Garonne. The Moirax house sits in ten acres of farmland and garden. This renovated farm house provides a peaceful and private haven where you can relax away from the stresses of everyday life.

The extensive grounds are bordered by our fields and a small stream. We have started a mixed fruit orchard, cut flower garden, potager, herb garden and a large vegetable patch. We invite you to come and enjoy the house and gardens as your own during your stay.
The house is spacious and comfortable and includes interesting original features such as oak beams, exposed stone walls and wooden floors. The house sleeps seven people plus an infant comfortably. A cot and high chair are provided for a baby. Shutters and thick stone walls allow you to regulate the temperature.

The Gite
The main living room (4.3m x 7.7m) has a large wood burning fireplace, original wooden floors, DVD player, hifi, TV (receiving UK freeview) and a broadband wireless network. There are two large comfortable sofas, also a large trust library of DVDs, CDs, and books. Please use what you wish whilst here.

Kitchen
The rustic kitchen (3.5m x 7.5m) is equipped with a gas hob, electric oven, microwave and dishwasher. Basic spices and staples are available. On arrival you will receive a welcome hamper of local produce and wine to get to you started.

There are three bedrooms, two of which are arranged as doubles (3.5m x4.3m) (3.2m x4.4m), one has an ensuite shower and toilet. The third bedroom (3.5 x 4.5m) is furnished with three single beds. It is a large room which opens out directly onto the garden, with a tiled floor it is easy to keep clean and is ideal for guests making frequent use of the pool. Off the central corridor is another separate toilet/shower room.
Adjoining the kitchen is the main poolside garden, which allows you to keep an eye on the pool and swimmers. The chlorinated swimming pool (10mx5m) has an alarm fitted for safety when the pool is out of use. The area is bordered by hedges and fencing and also has a mini badminton court, ample parking and two huge barns.

The pool
The pool will have daily morning checks. On a Wednesday morning it will be cleaned, weather permitting. Whilst garden and pool maintenance takes place there may be some noise and we apologise in advance for this.

The Garden
Well, a garden is a lifetime's work and this one is barely started. Ten acres of fertile farmland surround the house. To the front of the house is the main garden and pool, with plenty of room to run around, play badminton, boules, lounge or swim.

The kitchen garden to the south offers a quieter area, where you can sit surrounded by your lunch! This year we will be growing garlic, salads, several types of tomatoes, beans, aubergines, courgettes , butternut squash, potatoes, onions, broccoli, sweet peas all interspersed with flowers for cutting.

Fresh produce!
Help yourselves to the organic fruit vegetables and cut flowers on a daily basis! The more you cut the more they crop! Not everything can be available throughout the summer but we will try to ensure a range of fresh produce is available from the beginning to the end of the season. Beyond the potager is the start of the orchard with apples, plum, pear and apricot.
